This Project Completely Aligns with:
UN SDG Goal 9.4
By 2030, upgrade infrastructure and retrofit industries to make them sustainable, with increased resource-use efficiency and greater adoption of clean and environmentally sound technologies and industrial processes, with all countries taking action in accordance with their respective capabilities.

Who We Are?
SludgeX is committed to transforming industrial waste into valuable resources through science-driven innovation. We specialize in sustainable solutions for grinding sludge recovery, working at the intersection of research, engineering, and environmental responsibility. Backed by academic expertise and industry collaboration, we aim to lead the shift toward cleaner, circular manufacturing.

Why SludgeX?
Revalorizing Industrial Waste
Grinding sludge from bearing production—once treated as hazardous waste—is now seen as a valuable secondary resource with potential for reuse in steel, construction, or additive manufacturing applications.
Cutting Emissions and Costs
Through material recovery and briquetting techniques, the project reduces environmental impact and waste management costs—offering a scalable model for other high-volume manufacturing sectors.
Supporting Circular Manufacturing
SludgeX contributes to circular economy goals by developing recovery pathways for 100Cr6 sludge, reducing landfill dependency and raw material demand in heavy industries.
Backed by Research and Industry Collaboration
Developed as part of a PhD project with SKF, Tsubaki Nakashima (TN), and academic partners, SludgeX combines rigorous experimental work with real-world feasibility, ensuring both scientific credibility and industrial relevance.
